Cedar Point closed down today, June 8 has been reported after the park released a statement saying its water main has broken. As such, even though Cedar point closed down today, including the park's resort properties, it will reportedly open soon on Monday post repairs.
The City of Sandusky experienced a break on the main line supplying water to Cedar Point, said the a spokesperson for the amusement park on Saturday morning. Because of this, Cedar Point closed down today and the city is currently working on repairs to the main water system.
The Cedar Point Resorts properties on the peninsula include Hotel Breakers, Sandcastle Suites and Lighthhouse Point. Regarding Cedar Point closed down toda, News Net 5 said that guests may ask the reservation office at 419-627-2106 to cancel or reschedule reservations. Meanwhile, Castaway Bay Indoor Waterpark Resort and Breakers Express are still open.
According to Fox 8, the park has issued a release on Saturday afternoon claiming that Cedar Point closed down today as repairs will be needing quite a couple of hours more before completion. Once the repairs are through, there will reportedly be more procedures to be done in order to bring back the water pressure to the entire property vicinity.
According to News Net 5, testing must also be accomplished first in order to make sure that all systems are functioning well and while Cedar Point closed down today.
The release also stated that the park and resort properties will continue its closure 'till Monday, when officials are in anticipation of the continuation of the park's normal operations. Updates will reportedly be specified up until that point.
According to the release, the park said regarding Cedar Point closed down today, "We recognize the situation has caused many of our guests to be disappointed. We are sorry that this has happened."
To make up for Cedar Point closed down today, the park has tweeted that guests may use tickets valid today at Wildwater Kingdom in Aurora or Kings Island in Cincinnati.

According to the release on usability of tickets with Cedar Point closed down today, tickets will also be accepted on any operating day this year whenever the park is open to the public.
Cedar Point closed down today has resulted in the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) officials to urge motorists to avoid the area as traffic may become congested. For the moment, crews in the area are still trying to repair the water main.
