Jaime Pressly, Emmy-award winning actress, is back on the tube with TV Land's latest sitcom "Jennifer Falls".
Pressly plays the role of Jennifer Doyle, a bank executive who gets fired from her job and is compelled to live with her mother. After losing her job, she and her 16-year-old daughter Gretchen, played by Dylan Gelula, is forced to leave luxurious living behind and live with her therapist mother, Maggie, played by Jessica Walter.
Pressly tells Hollywoodlife.com during an exclusive interview, "She basically has to move back in with her mother, who is a therapist that does not listen to her, which makes her even crazier." Ethan Suplee plays the role of Wayne, Jennifer's brother, who owns a local bar. Jennifer is forced to ask her brother for a job at the bar, realizing that doing so seals the end of her life as an over-achiever.
"Jennifer Falls" tells about how the lead character, Jennifer, struggles to re-adjust her humble roots as she has been used to adding six figures to her bank account on a monthly basis. The comedy revolves around how Jennifer keeps struggling in accepting the fact that her main career objective is not to spill when she is pouring drinks for strangers.
According to Pressly, this condition is relatable for so many viewers. Jennifer's career situation is familiar to people who have lost their jobs because of the downturn in the economy. "There are so many people that have lost their jobs from high positions." Pressly adds that what is lovable about the Jennifer's life change is that she has a mom and a brother who are there to help her, "A mom's house to go home to, or a dad, or a best friend to come in and help, or a brother to give them a job."
