Emma Watson graduates not from the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, but from a university wherein she earned a degree in English literature.
After nearly five years of studying and coping with school stuff despite of her busy schedule, the actress has been rewarded with all the hard work as she is now an official degree holder. Unlike from her famous role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films, the English actress is not studying spells or potions that would combat the dark arts; instead, she is into making journals and learning much about literature. As a student, there is nothing more fulfilling than to finish what you have studied for many years, and as Emma Watson graduates, she is also having that feeling as she shares a happy picture of her in her Twitter account prior to the graduation ceremony.
The Harry Potter star's journey in achieving a degree in education is not that easy as she simultaneously work on different films. Sunday's event is not that ordinary for Emma Watson as she graduates from the prestigious Brown University in Rhode Island. The young star who is actually very much inclined in pursuing her studies has just finished college after five years.
Watson is supposed to finish school in four years' time, however as the actress became busy with all the filming, it took her five years in the university. With almost six films finished since 2011-2014, the actress ended up taking two full semesters off. Before Emma Watson graduates from the Brown University, she was also a visitor student in Worcester College in Oxford from 2011-2012.
Before achieving her degree, the Noah actress said in an interview with Elle magazine in April that there are also people who thought that it will be impossible for her to graduate. However, she is so persistent that she just ignores what other people say. She also added that, that's what she wants and graduating for her will be symbolic. As Emma Watson graduates from her course, she was joined by her mother as well as with a group of police officers who actually went undercover as one of the graduating students to secure the actress safety during the graduation ceremony.
