No more third cycle for another show as TBS cancels Holmes show.
This may be a goodbye to the comedian host as his show will no longer air for the next third cycle. It's not just the host that will leave, but the entire crew will no longer be working with the network as the management finds it hard to draw the audience attention. With that matter, TBS cancels "The Pete Holmes Show".
It can be recalled that the show was launched in 2013 which ran for seven weeks and was then renewed for another season, this time it has a running time of 13 weeks. However, as the third season is expected to follow the previous two seasons, a sudden twist of fate just occurred as TBS cancels Holmes show.
The half an hour stand up, late night talk show which followed Conan has tried to make a remarkable identity. Instead of just coming in with a set of prepared jokes, Holmes as a host tried to his own personal stand up which is quite much full of energy. However, the show's ratings may no longer be enough to push through with a third season in the said network.
According to the network's statement released, they said that they love the show and even recognized Pete's talent as a comedian. The network also added that they hope to work with Pete again. It was also learned that the show has been constantly beaten by Comedy Central's @Midnight.
TBS decision to cancel the Holmes show came in the midst of a struggle experienced by the network to have a space in the late night broadcast since there are already competitive shows in the said genre.
Moreover, just when TBS cancels the Holmes show, he actually expressed his gratitude to the show's crew and producers through his Facebook post. According to him, working with those people in terms of making joy and eventually sharing it with fans is a dream come true.
