Rowan Atkinson, aka Mr. Bean is dead from suicide. At least that's what social media is saying. However the English actor isn't dead. He's just the victim of an Internet death hoax. Atkinson is just fine.
Rumors started swirling around social media sites like Facebook and Twitter that Rowan Atkinson killed himself. It seems as if fake tweets that were said to be from new source, CNN, were going around saying "English Actor Comedian Rowan Atkinson died at 58 after committing suicide." In further detail, some said Atkinson killed himself after the producer removed him from Johnny English 3. The tweet also included a photo of Atkinson that said "1955-2013 Rest in Peace." CNN never posted such a tweet. In fact no credible sources said anything about Atkinson's death because it never happened. The rumor was nothing more than a cruel joke. Rowan Atkinson is alive and well.
Despite the rumors being false, some fans took to Twitter to mourn and question the death of the beloved actor. Some examples of tweets include:
"Is it true that Rowan Atkinson (a.k.a Mr.Bean) is dead ?!?!?"
"the legend has died together with my childhood. Mr. Bean was the show I always
had with my brother. RIP Rowan Atkinson #RIPRowanAtkinson"
"Wait, what?! Rowan Atkinson died already? Omg RIP to him.
