The Royal Baby is here! To celebrate the occasion, the London-based airline, British Airways is offering a special for babies.
With the birth of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's new baby boy, the airline is offering free flight for all infants under the age of two traveling from Singapore to London or Sydney. The deal is valid for trips before November 30, 2013 and they must be booked by July 31, 2013.
Robert Williams, the airline's regional commercial manager for Southeast Asia, said they really wanted to do something to celebrate the huge occasion.
"We have been so excited for the royal birth since the news broke last year. It is such special news for the UK and something that we really want to celebrate with our customers here in Singapore," said Robert Williams, the airline's regional commercial manager for Southeast Asia in a press release. "We understand that travelling with young children can be stressful, which is why we always strive to make the experience as easy as possible for families."
The offer is subject to availability and the only catch is that the offer is only valid when an infant is accompanied by a paying adult on promotional economy/premium economy fares to London or Sydney, which is reasonable considering an infant shouldn't fly alone. All taxes and surcharges will still apply.
The British Royal Family often use British Airways for the international tours. The couple recently flew back to London from Singapore with the airline after their South East Asia tour marking the Diamond Jubilee.
The airline also had special fares to London and Sydney. For instance, return fares to Sydney in the World Traveller economy class start at $688 and return flights to London start at $1,688. Fares in the World Traveller Plus cabin on return flight to Sydney start at $1,188 and return fares to London start at $2,688.
